I am a student pilot, today was my first flight day 07.01.20. I've been tossing and turning between buying an ANR headset and buying a traditional non-ANR headset. In the end I settled on David Clarke H10-13.4. I couldn't be happier with my choice. DCs are very comfortable, very well made (made in the USA), keep noise at a good level and work well. I can clearly hear the instructor, ATC and other aircraft. I didn't feel any uncomfortable lateral pressure from the headset. Very satisfied with the product. DC has an excellent reputation in the industry and comes with a 5 year guarantee. 4 out of 6 flight school instructors use DC products and so does my instructor. I can highly recommend the product. You'll probably need to buy a headset case, I just put it in my flight bag for now. The plane I fly is a 172 with a glass cockpit.
