As a college student, I used to live a cheap life. $25 Costco knife sets can be as good as the real thing, right? I lived in my world of alternative facts with my head in the sand like an ostrich avoiding eye contact with my lover. I kept believing that my knives were fine, that it was the potatoes' fault, that my knife wasn't cutting anything. Heck, organic potatoes are obviously harder to cut than regular potatoes due to their cell-free lifestyle. Well, my head finally got out of the sand when I gifted myself this set of Calphalon knives. It must have been the set of knives that Mickey Mouse used to cut his bread so thin. The self-sharpening block keeps knives sharper than my grandfather's mind. I am absolutely amazed at how well this knife set works! Get your head out of the sand and start dominating your food the way nature intended!
