One of our chairs had some holes in the leather so I bought this to hide them. The setup was very challenging. You may have to rearrange and stretch the cover several times until it fits, but if you get it right, the cover will look just like the original skin. I had a hard time stretching the seat cushion so that the elastic hem lined up with the bottom edge of the backrest. It took some effort and a lot of stretching, but once it snapped into place it held up great. I like the long, stretchy straps that can and should be wrapped and tied around the hook point under the chair. They nestle snugly against the case and don't let it slip off. I didn't use them at first, but after the back cover and footpad loosened, I realized they were essential for a snug, consistent fit. We have La-Z-Boy rocking chairs with armrests. padded and protruding at the sides so the cover hangs straight down the sides and isn't snug against the armrests, it still looks great. It just changes the look of the chair a bit. I was so impressed with the look of the chair with the cover. I honestly can't say it's not original leather. The color is very close to the folding chair next to it. A year has passed and I found the durability to be poor so I edit my review and downgraded my rating from five stars to three. The skin began to peel off, revealing the fabric underneath the lining after about a year of use. This happened on the seat and back. These weren't just a few small spots, they were large spots of about 12" x 12" or larger. I believe this is still a reasonable price as investing $50 once a year is still cheaper than replacing or reupholstering the chair. But I can't in good conscience give it 5 stars. For about $50 (including tax) I salvaged a perfectly good chair to have it reupholstered or replaced for a fraction of the cost. I'm a very harsh critic, so it's hard to get good grades from me. I recommend this product with the warning that it is not durable.
