I received this necklace to wear with my pendant and I'm glad I got the 36" length. Fits my body (5'10" and neck size 17) just right. The chain has a shiny silver finish. I don't know if it's rhodium plated or not, although I chose the color "Rhodium". The chain is very durable and can hang a very large or fairly heavy pendant. It came with a nice velvet pouch. I must also add that it's great to find jewelry that isn't made in China - it's made in Italy. If you are looking for a beautiful silver chain that can be worn with a pendant or just on its own, you can't go wrong with this choice.
