Problem Number ONE: They are NOT 12 gauge as advertised. Many people have stated this in their reviews. Problem number two: I've been using banana plugs for years. These forks are THIN than the others and do NOT fit me tight enough. I use them for a cheap receiver and speakers in my bedroom and didn't want to spend a lot of money on something where quality wasn't really an issue. BUT I have VERY QUALITY AUDIOFILE gear in my living room with VERY expensive wire, and I KNOW what 12 gauge wire is and I KNOW how banana plugs should be placed. .The price is cheap, but it's better to use lamp cord than this one and save a few dollars. It's NOT better. NOTE: THIS IS FOR AN AC CABLE. YOU MUST NEED TWO SAME CABLES TO CONNECT THE SPEAKERS.
