Review on 💡 Wagner 9011 Headlight Bulb (Single Pack) by Jon Dugan

Wagner 9011 lamps are nothing more than newly packaged Philips 9011 HIR lamps. So save money on fancy shelf wrap and just buy it. I would recommend wiping down each bulb with alcohol wipes prior to installation. I do this with every halogen bulb I install, regardless of packaging style. I bought the 9011 bulbs as an upgrade over my OEM 9005 high beam bulbs. While I'm not entirely sure if the original HIR technology is more widely used as the glass bulbs are not coated at all, I can see improved light output. I think it's the higher power. The OEM 9005 bulbs are only 60w so I think the 9011s are actually overpowered by the 9005s which is why they have such a short lifespan of only 150-250 hours compared to the 9005's 500-800 hours. Longevity wouldn't be a problem for me. Light output in terms of color temperature isn't really different, but I suppose a little whiter would be a nice statement. They are still yellowish compared to my OEM LED projectors in my 2016 WRX. I tried these new 9005 double sided fanless LEDs with heatsink copper strips and they didn't work at all. They couldn't put as much light on the whole road as the 9011! So the 9011s were replaced with fancy white LEDs. So I have yellowish high beam headlights but they are much brighter and now I can see far! *Note: Only a small portion of the top tab needs to be removed to fit the 9005 socket. I used wire cutters to trim a few millimeters from the tab. It was a simple cut and part of the protrusion was removed. They fit perfectly.
