I'm a big fan of these rope baskets because they are stronger and look nicer than cheap plastic baskets. This one is unusual because the handles face forward. This makes it less suitable for washing as you cannot lift it from either side. However, I do like to keep extra towels and blankets that I only use occasionally and then plan to put away. It looks good and there were no issues with the design of the basket. The eyes, mouth, nose and sideburns on mine appear to be painted on, so you don't have to worry about appliqués coming off the front. Its size also allows me to machine wash it, although I don't know if that will damage the pieces or not. Currently I just do the cleaning, treat it like a rug and shake it out and that seems fine. When folded, it has a fairly compact size, so you'll need to follow the instructions on the product page to get it. be round (fill with pillows or blankets). It quickly takes on a new shape after filling.
