I thought these boots were decently comfortable, the fit was good, I ordered my normal boot size.It finally got cold enough outside to test them out, and in terms of thickness around the toe I thought it was enough to keep my feet warm.My only complaint was the soles of the shoes- it’s so thin down there or not well enough insulated that I could feel the cold from the ground as I walked through a field. The temperature was hovering around freezing so I don’t think I’d be comfortable when the weather dips below that.Except for the bottom of the shoes they seem well made- but if you live in a super cold area (like me) I would recommend a different boot
