Installed on Mazda CX-5 to protect the rear bumper area when loading and unloading cargo. Installation was easy thanks to a Velcro strap that attaches to the carpet in the luggage compartment. While the velcro fits snugly, the mat expands outward. On the Mazda CX-5, this resulted in the part that hangs over the rear of the car not lying completely flat. Now that's good and bad. That's a good thing, because the extra skirting below protects all plastic sides of the rear cargo area from scratches during loading and unloading. Too bad, because in addition to this charging mat, I also have an all-weather winter charging mat on it, which had to be moved a bit when I hung the charging mat on the rear bumper for loading and unloading. This mat is long enough and has enough velcro that I could leave the all-weather cargo mat on it and just lay the overhanging piece of mat on top of the all-weather mat. What I will most likely do is roll the extra piece of this mat under my all weather mat to keep dirt from getting to the bottom of the mat and scratching the car.
