Review on Ford FL3Z-99286A40-C Genuine Bed Extender by Michael Hawkins

I had one like this in my 2012 F150. My 2015 F150 didn't have it. If I noticed it I would take it off my old truck and save myself $300. I really missed the convenience of not having things rattling around in the back of my truck. I mostly use it when the back door is closed. Installation was easy, even with my drop down liner. Installation took less than 30 minutes. I used a shovel in my drill and lined up the holes in the truck by eye and drilled the liner with the board between the liner and the truck. On my bed insert, the legs prevent the pins from aligning with the holes, but I never locked my old one, so I don't expect to ever lock this one. I have to open the trunk lid to rotate it, but that's not a problem with my tri-fold hard-shell Ford suitcase. Overall I'm very happy with it and I can now attach things between the extension and the tailgate so nothing crashes into my bed. when I need to stop quickly.
