I have been battling mice in my house for several years, preferring to catch and release. It has been up and down, but recently they have been increasing in the build up for winter. I got this lid trap two days ago. The first night, I put the lid and ramp on the floor with some sunflower seed and smears of peanut butter here and there. This was all eaten in the morning. Last night, I set up the bucket, a tall 5 gal., with the ramp on a small cardboard box because it didn't reach the floor. I repeated the seed and butter up the ramp, on the flip part of the lid. I put seed in the bucket, with a water soaked cotton ball for them to drink overnight ( I don't intend for them to suffer!). This morning there were a DOZEN mice in the bucket! I released them out in the pet pig's barn, mouse heaven. I am very pleased! Will recommend this to my mouse plagued friends.
