My younger 2 and my little niece who I sometimes look at are such kids on the street. They have so much fun walking around our property and their grandparents. We recently had our first night out before the weather turned bad and they love it. This is probably the best I could buy for gaming. It's actually very easy to use, just press the PTT button and talk. Children aged 4 and 3 could handle it. And he's really strong. For example, it has been dropped and stepped on several times and it still works strong. The flashlight function is also very useful when we are outside and it is already getting dark. We checked the range and 3 miles is pretty accurate on a clear day. More like 2 if it rained and there was a big storm coming up, but honestly my kids aren't that far apart at that age anyway. It works great on all levels of our home. From the basement to the attic and two floors in between, and the boys still have a clear tone when they talk to each other. And another nice feature is that there were THREE in the box. Having that extra when they have my niece or her friends is just really nice.
