Wouldn't believe it when you look at it lit up in daylight, but in the dark it is highly visible. Only issue we had was that halfway into our first soccer practice session it started turning off intermittently; kick - on, kick - off, kick - on and then off while in the air, very unpredictable. Took out the LED inserts (2 of them) and re-sprung the battery contacts and reenforced them with hot glue. Now it holds up to my 12 year old boy's soccer team no problem. And we got 30 minutes of practice back that we were giving up to darkness this time of year!
