I've always wanted window candles (my mom always had cord candles) but it's only been in the last few years that I've lived in a house with window sills to put them in. These Notimible candles *have* a suction cup that you can use to stick the candles to the window if you don't have enough room to fit them in the holder, but I like that I can use the gold holder (it is plastic but still looks nice). The light impressed me the most. There are two settings: candle and light. CANDLE gives off a slight flickering effect while LIGHT maintains a steady golden glow. The CANDLE does indeed look like a realistic flame - again, especially from a distance. You can also adjust the brightness. I've had several nights now where the timer function worked on some candles and not others. It could be user error.? But overall the timer works well and I love this feature! The PRODUCT DESCRIPTION does not match the type of battery used. Each candle requires 2 AA. not AA. Only time will tell how long they last, but I plan on getting some rechargeable AA batteries to save money. Can't wait to buy more to make sure ALL my windows look festive and cozy!
