All of these were installed about 30 inches from the top of a hand crafted plywood and rod workbench with slatted base. While I'm not entirely dissatisfied, they are more of a "backlight ambient light" and don't deliver enough lumens. The lights were spaced 12 inches apart in an area approximately 30 inches by 24 inches. They illuminated a 6x2 foot work area, but it wasn't very bright. The listing claims they add up to 1800 lumens. While theoretically correct, it will only be bright if you mount them side by side in a 6" x 12" area so they all have an access point in roughly the same spot. 6 lamps installed. Each light was 12 inches. I installed 2 in a 24" bar and then 4 in a 12" bar about 8" apart. Four of them face down, one faces the back wall. It reminds me of the colorful Himalayan salt night light I have in my bathroom. Enough to work and "cool" warm light, not super bright.
