Auto shutdown doesn't work but wobbles fine!

So the pump works great but doesn't shut off like it should and overflows every time I'm not careful. So for those reading this, think it's only one, but I have two of them! I bought one for my dad so he doesn't have to lift a gas can to fuel his lawn tractor. I turned both pumps on at the same time and both overflow and won't stop until the off button is pressed. Contacted the company twice, never got a reply. So if you want a good pump, it pumps great. Just don't think that if the fuel comes into contact with the gauge, it will turn itself off.
