Problems with this lamp began as soon as it was unpacked. The base seems very cheap and I couldn't fit the cable in (see second photo). I held it in my hand, plugged it in and was able to turn it on with the switch on the cord. The default was a random strobe of solid colors. I pulled out the plastic tab on the battery side of the remote and clicked on the first preset. It changed from a beautiful blue to a peachy light. I tried another preset and nothing changed. I tried one of the solid colors around the power button and that didn't work either. There was also no on/off button. I turned it off and on with the cable and tried again. After several tests, I came to the conclusion that only the first button pressed on the remote control on the lamp works. After the first click, all other remote actions are ignored. I really wanted it to work. I'm a fan of fun lighting and many of the cheaper options lacked all of the features of that.
