This item got good reviews so I decided to buy it. He didn't disappoint me. The noise level is low, the remote control works great (battery inserted) and just right for small spaces. Don't expect it to cool your entire room. I usually place mine next to my computer monitor and there's a nice cool mist blowing where I work. I have to add water and ice about every two hours. Remember: It has no cooling element. The water should be cold, ice is fine too. There is no air conditioning in my room so this is a life saver. Los Angeles, California was hot and that helps a lot. The instructions lag behind the translations. But you'll soon get the idea. Small maintenance: make sure to clean the small foam filters. Addons come with.
