Bought to attach a special item to the outside frame of a large window in the living room. Dubbed "Acopic Birds", these lightweight hanging cords prevent birds from flying and plunging through a window to die. The husband didn't want to drill holes in the window frames for permanent supports and this seemed the closest thing to the original idea other than drilling. This window faces west - the summer temperatures in Atlanta, Georgia must be hotter than the adhesive is rated for, as they tend to pop out of the window frame on hot, sunny days. I solved this problem by using four times as many clamps as needed to support those flimsy strings; If one or four pop in the heat, the rest hold the strings in place to protect the birds.
