Living in the country we ha, you name it. After the last power surge - we've had quite a few power outages - trees, wind, snow, mice, wire chewing - whatever. Our TV surge protector failed and we lost our 4 year old 65 inch TV. In another outlet, we lost our desktop and keyboard. I have now installed heavier filters on it and used these best protection filters in every room. it gives us more outlets, but USBs really help EVERYONE in our house with one or more devices, phones, etc. We've learned a very important lesson (also expensive), but we're protected with them. Works great in any bedroom. I put an extra one in the living room if our friends and guests need extra charge for their phones. Good product.
