I needed to remove a connecting rod from a car transmission. I was fiddling around with jack stands in my garage so there wasn't much room under the car. I settled on a cheaper slide hammer kit from a local supplier and struggled with setup for almost a week. I tried to make my own slide hammer with my poor welding skills. Vain. Once installed, the bars were pulled out after a few hours. The M8 bolt mount was just what I needed and the weight of the bolt and short bolt length worked great in a small space. It appears to be a high quality metal. The number of exhaust bearing nozzles is impressive.
