The watermelon ball is super cute. We love it, and everyone who comes to the pool for a swim realizes how cool the watermelon ball is. You can "jump" it underwater, but you need to be as close together as possible, as the ball will only travel a few meters in a straight line before it starts to curve. It's fine for us as I'm going through it with a 3 year old who can only push it a foot or two anyway. It's also fun to throw as high in the air as possible because it makes a very nice splash when it hits the water and dives underwater. This isn't a blow to the product, but a word of caution: we have other billiard balls that we like. throw at each other. But the watermelon ball is filled with water, so it is much heavier than other balls and shouldn't be thrown at people. So I would just warn anyone buying this: if you have a young child like me, make sure they don't think this is a ball to be playfully thrown at someone's head.
