I bought 2 different LED strips designed to backlight a 46 inch TV, the DeepDream version and this one; 4 strips that allow you to rotate corners and adjust more easily. I found the light quality to be more consistent and clear than the Deep Dream version. It also came with a remote control which was very helpful when changing colors. You need to make sure the RF sensor sticks out from behind the TV. Some might not like this, but I had no problems with it. A BIG issue I found was the flash feature. I don't know why you need this, and it didn't seem to work properly anyway while I tested it on a USB outlet. After hooking it up to the TV and plugging it into the TV's USB port, I tried again. BIG MISTAKE! It blew the USB on my TV when I tried the flash again. I thought it had popped the strips, which should have been awful because I was already connected to 3M strips, but I tried connecting to my laptop's USB port and it still worked. However, the USB port for the TV was gone. It stopped reading the USB connected to it and didn't even power anything. I had to connect with the USB cable, which worked, but that meant I had to toggle the power on and off manually as that connection was always active. Apparently I can no longer turn it on and off with the TV. Lesson Learned, DO NOT USE THE STROBE FUNCTION OR IT WILL DISCONNECT THE TV'S USB CONNECTION! If it weren't for the lightning damage I would have given it 5 stars, the light quality was very good, but away with the flash button!
