My daughter refused to sleep as a newborn. I had to hold her to make her fall asleep; She woke up lying on her back. In the end I found swaddling helped. She only slept in diapers, but started breaking out of the diaper (she could even pull her hand out of the diaper!). So we chose this sleeping bag for the transition. I bought the 3-6 month size for my daughter when she was 8 weeks old and weighed about 10 pounds (to allow her to grow into it). It was the perfect match. I was skeptical because it looks like pajamas. but something about it made her sleep easy at night, eventually it clicked with her. The second night she slept 8 hours straight. This went on for 5 of the next 8 nights. Since then she has slept through the night. At 3 months we took out one arm. About a week later, we took out the other hand. Now she is 4.5 months old and doesn't need a sleeping bag at all. She sleeps 10-12 hours straight every night. We are so lucky! She went from a bad sleeper to the best sleeper! I find the sizes a bit small. Now she only weighs 14 pounds and her legs are too long to fit her.
