Smooth Operator: Blender

I have a large Cuisinart blender that I rarely use because it's too tiring for most of my needs. I wanted to buy a Hamilton Beach personal blender, but at 175 watts it seemed too light. This 300W device seemed more suitable to me. First, let me state that I own the aforementioned large blender, a Cuisinart food processor, and a Cuisinart hand blender. I bought a LaReveuse smoothie blender for this purpose, Smoothies. Second, let me address some of the comments from other users: 1. The tab(s) are broken. The glass has three lugs (tabs) that allow it to snap onto the base of the motor. I have no idea how you break any of them. Given the strength of the material and the placement of the lugs, I really can't imagine how they could have broken. Even if you break a leaf or leaves, Revain.2 sells replacement jars, lids, and blades. To answer another reviewer's comment, the locking tabs (tabs) not only lock the can in place, they are part of the motor's "switch". The motor base has no visible switch. Align the locking tabs (tabs) with the slots on the motor base and press down momentarily. Release the pressure and the engine will shut off. If you want the motor to stay on (no more than 1 minute according to the manufacturer), just push down, twist the can clockwise slightly and voila, it stays on. To turn off, simply turn the jar counterclockwise a small turn. So if you don't want the motor to turn on when you plug in the device, don't close the glass on the motor. Pretty easy.3. Responding to a comment that the glass is too flexible. For real? .INDEED? No, it's not as strong as glass (and won't break like glass), but it's not a plastic bag either. It has a LITTLE flex when you really push it. If you handle it like I think most people will, you won't notice any flex at all. Okay enough about how well does it work? As I said, I bought it to make smoothies. My typical smoothie looks something like this: 1 peach (with peel), 1/2 banana, a large handful of blueberries, 1 portion cup (5.3 ounces) yogurt (plain or fruit flavored), and maybe 1/4 to 1/3 cup of skim milk. Drop everything, unscrew the blade cover, place the jar on the motor base and gently press down. I turn it on a few times (2-3 seconds per pulse like in a large blender) and then leave it on for about 10-15 seconds. DID! So, for $20, how can you complain?
