Easy to install, Solid metal construction, Spikes at the base of the stand fix it securely to the carpet, Metal spikes for the speaker insulate the speakers well from the stand and look really cool . Racks are strong as a rock. The base looks like carbon fiber (although I think it's wood). The stands are hollow to hide the speaker cords and the cord openings are wide enough to accommodate oversized banana plugs. The stands also have the option of using foam pads instead of spikes for the base of the speaker and mounting the speaker plates straight or at a 45 degree angle. Be careful when assembling: There are stickers with the "Atlantic" logo on the base. I didn't notice them, so one stand had the logo on the front and the other on the side. I finally took them off and they left a sticky mess on the base.
