After reading the reviews guys, there is a protective film ON BOTH SIDES of the lens. Remove the other foil and you have no recycle symbol. I ordered a set of these (framed 5x7 but mated 4x6) to try them out and was over the moon! They were perfect for portraits. The rug is a bit small so some photos had to be flipped. Outstanding quality for the price. Nice glass lens. I didn't use a hanging pin. I'll be using velcro to hang them up as I'm rented out and like to move things around a lot. I loved it so much I ordered 2 more boxes for a total of 30 frames. The only reason I'm not giving this lens 5 stars is that when I opened the third box, none of the mounts had a glass lens. I had a thin plastic lens with a protective film. The only difference is the thin plastic lens. They are crystal clear and there is no difference just by looking at them, but one of the plastic lenses cracked when removing the foil! If they were all plastic, the price would be more than fair. My only complaint is the inconsistency that 2/3 of my photos are good glass and the other 1/3 are plastic. Please be more consistent with your products!
