After two years of my leather belt slowly falling apart, I was ready for a change. You looked as if you were wearing half a cow around your waist. Then I decided to try the cloth belts that the military use. I assumed that if they use them they must be strong and reliable. By this point a lengthy search and verification process had been undertaken. I looked for both high and low but found that due to their basic design only the buckle could have issues. I decided to take a chance, bought this belt and was very impressed! The belt is very strong and very easy to cut to length. I was also blown away by the variety of colors one can buy. The buckle is not very good metal and I suspect it is electroplated. However, I don't think this will affect the lifespan or use of this product in any way. While there's a lot to be said for leather style, I find durability and simplicity far more important.
