The old membrane was fitted about 10 years ago and still tested at 25ppm I installed this new one simply because it was probably time to do so.First reading was 600+ppm as the new membrane had to be rinsed first.Plain untreated tap water tested with 380ppm. The ppm readings were getting lower and lower. After two weeks of inactivity other than flushing the new membrane, is the reading now stable at 359ppm and not dropping further? It's pointless? It was obviously a mistake, replacing the old membrane with a new ones to replace. There are also brand new 1 micron carbon filters in the system, but that shouldn't matter. My reverse osmosis system produced about 20 gallons of water. Tues This amount of water should be more than enough to initially flush the new membrane. I'll look for another brand of membrane to install if this new one doesn't do better.
