for my small living room hybrid entertainment center. I drive them with an old Sony TA-AX401 amp that I've had since the 80's. Audio source is Tascam 202MKVII tape recorder or Apple TV/Chromecast digital input. With this amp and for a room this size, these speakers do an excellent job. Thought to take a sub. But now that I hear them. Actually I'll skip it. This amplifier does not require a subwoofer with DBFB Dynamic Bass. The subwoofer will only annoy my downstairs neighbors. (But if you don't have bottom neighbors and want a lot of bottoms pulsing in your spine - buy a sub π€) in general I like the sound of these. Not exactly an audiophile setup, but sounds very, very good for the average analog audio enthusiast. The sound is different when you remove the covers. (And they look cool without cases). Covers on magnets. Just turn it on easily. Connections on the back for a mere audio cable. Well done. They are heavy and don't rattle and can be ridden loudly. But not loud enough to draw the attention of the neighboring county sheriff. However, I cannot vouch for your local sheriff. The only complaint is that there was too much marketing advert on the box about what's in the box. I don't like it very much. Nobody cares what's in the mail and there's no need to tell thieves what to steal from the mail first.
