I was pleased with the size of the bungee cord that makes up the net. The hooks holding the net are fine. Other reviewers complained that the hooks came loose. I can understand how they felt that way. I threaded the rope through the hole in the hook rather than using the hook itself to attach to my truck. For the price I think it's a great value. I've seen other chains for over $100. I don't know what you're getting for $100+, but this net fit in a Toyota Tacoma pickup and was a bit large. The hooks are designed to be attached anywhere on the net. I think other commenters have suggested that the hook should remain at the very edge of the web. I think it was a wonderful purchase.
