According to the product description, the bag is 25.4 cm wide. I was excited because my wallet is 9 inches and it's difficult to find a wallet that small to fit in my wallet. Unfortunately, when it arrived I was disappointed with the amount of free space in my purse. My wallet barely fit in my purse and it took me far more effort than I wanted to get it out. I would say there is 9 inches of free space inside. This is such a cute bag and I love the mechanism that adjusts the length of the strap so my necklaces don't get caught on the remaining strap once adjusted. Since my wallet is so big, I can't use this wallet, but I keep it for gifts or use it for meetings where I'd rather have my wallet with me.
