I have arthritis, so my fingers and hands are often stiff and sore, so I don't look forward to washing my hair. I also have very thick and very long hair so it takes a lot of time and work to make sure I can lather my entire scalp well. It solved my problem and made washing my hair faster and easier, and it does it better than I could with my hands! I can place them on my hands, making them easier to grasp, and then draw gentle circles all over my head. Silicone fingers with ideal length and stiffness. They're long and stiff enough for the shampoo to get deep into my roots, but not so long and too flexible that they can be pushed down and tangled in my hair or so severe that my head hurts. Thanks to the ergonomic handles, they are very comfortable to hold. I shampoo my hair first and then use the brushes to spread and lather it up, but I suggest you can apply directly to the brushes first if you'd like. Other brushes I've tried before had hard plastic handles which were odd and harsh. to hold, with silicone fingers that were too short and stiff to be functional or easy to use, or brushes so small they got tangled in my hair or it would take forever to wash my whole head would have. Very happy with it.
