these shoes have been good so far. A little snug out of the box and they haven't stretched excessively to date. they stay in place despite no "heel" and I have worn them with and without socks. They keep my feet toasty and if I'm moving around the house alot, my feet will sweat, but while relaxing and occasionally walking room to room, these keep me comfortable. the black "arch support" pad is not much to speak of, but that's not why I purchased these.The rubber sole is comfortable walking short distances on gravel and sturdy enough.For the price, I give 5stars
