The front mats have a lip that covers the carpet from the sill better than the Weathertechs that only fit on the side.
I bought these floor mats for my 2012 Taurus SHO. I had a pair of brown Weathertechs that were fine but didn't match the color of the carpet. The front mats have a lip that seals the carpet from the rocker better than the Weathertechs that just fit the foot. The weathermen can snap the locks better, but the extra coverage the Husky has is better. The back mat is one piece so it also covers the hump of the carpet and fits very well.
