Keep in mind that the practice pad and case make this not really suitable for portable use, it's not a field surgical or suture kit in that sense. The stainless tools are sourced from Pakistan, which is quite common in the entry level range. In my experience, the stainless grade is not great and long term it will likely corrode. These came with significant scratches and blemishes in the tools, but it's a very inexpensive kit- so that is to be expected. The practice pad works very well and the included sutures are quite decent. I'd consider this for practice use only, really, but that's what it was designed for. If you're looking for a kit to potentially really use, there are portable kits for that purpose but pay attention to the tool quality. Digging through one's EMT bag for that suture kit that's been in there for months and finding the tools corroded is a drag. For the medical student or if you just want to play a doctor on TV- this is a great practice set.
