This stand is very well built and surprisingly heavy. The base minimally disturbs the horizontal space on the table. In my case, the laptop and dock fit perfectly on a horizontal base, so I don't lose much desk space due to the base. The lack of three separate sockets for my monitors means I have a significant amount of useful desktop space. There were comments about the difficulty of making adjustments. I had to put the end monitors on and off a few times to get the right wing length, but the quick release buckles made it easy to remove the monitors. The vertical adjusters for the Edge monitors really helped get things right. If I had one wish for the stand, I would like the distance from the back of the stand to the back of the center monitor to be shorter. When the stand is pressed against the wall, the distance from the wall to the back of the middle monitor is 7.5 inches, which is quite a lot. Since this stand is designed to hold much heavier monitors than my three 23" LED monitors, I'm sure there is a way to reduce that distance while still maintaining the center monitor and necessary strength, but I want my monitors back have on my desk on the wall. I attached a strip of wide clear packing tape to the back of the connection between each monitor. Then I wrapped long strips of 1" wide black duct tape on packing tape. This accomplishes two main purposes: 1) prevents light from passing through the gaps between the monitors, and 2) allows the monitors to behave like a unit, which it is to me allows to get the perfect level across the monitors by adjusting the vertical controls at the ends. Since my monitors are already black the tape blends into them and since the back of the monitors is abutting the wall no one sees/notices anyway the tape. I've done this before to connect multiple monitors and through trial and error I found that I needed clear tape (wide weatherproof tape works better) because it doesn't stretch and sticks better in the long run Duct tape doesn't block light coming through the gaps between monitors.The trick with electrical tape is to cut it a little longer than you think you need, and then letting it "relax" for a minute or two, as it always stretches a little when it's taken off the roll. If the tape is not allowed to relax before use, it will tend to curl/peel from the packaging tape/monitors.
