Athletic runners? I do not think so.
Appropriate I think? But I have almost no mobility in it, so I wouldn't wear that for track and field. I'm a short guy with muscular legs. It's a little tight around the hips and calves. If you bend down, get ready to knock down everyone behind you. In my SKINNY jeans I have more freedom of movement and bottom protection than in this one.
