Review on Intel E7500 Processor Socket LGA775 by Micha Pyra ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The item is of good quality, there is only one minor defect.

sat in front of Pentium 4 630 HT. When I increased the overclock to 3.6 GHz, there was a slight improvement. I choose to get a new core i3 or i5 model. However, it became problematic because a new socket was underneath them, meaning I would also need to purchase a new motherboard. The Core 2 Duo E8400 offered a minimal boost; the performance is marginally inferior to the i3, but for the older socket. While I believe that's plenty, games started to run quickly. In the future, I'll take the motherboard as well as an i3 or i5 processor.

Pros
  • With a good cooler, it rarely exceeds 50 degrees while under load. Accelerates well up to 3.6 GHz (higher frequencies not tried). Very, very quickly! energy is saved. There are too many things to list. Without include the quad cores, of course, this is most likely the greatest CPU for LGA 775.
Cons
  • dated socket. Further upgrading is not conceivable. Overpriced (If you look at the price of the E8600, you can get an i3 with a motherboard and get a method to further upgrade to an i5, i7, for the same money.)
