This mouse has been around for a while. I bought these to replace my old MS Arc mouse which has served me well for many years. After 3 days of use I had to send it back. MS added an audible "click" sound to simulate the scroll wheel clicking when you slide your finger across the center touchpad. The problem is, my desk is an old postmaster's desk with a hinged top and a wooden top. the click was greatly increased which just drove me crazy. In addition, it was a great mouse that works on any surface and is very portable. One downside I noticed is that for some reason this mouse didn't automatically put my laptop to sleep. I'm not sure what the issue was, but I've seen similar behavior with my wireless MS keyboard that I use from time to time. I think it has something to do with the MS wireless protocol used (and the power policy set by the IT gods on my laptop).
