They were wider than expected but not entirely undesirable. I love screw caps, I didn't expect that at all. I'm giving 3 stars because while the cans themselves are amazing and well made, they arrived damaged and could be avoided entirely. The jars were packed in a little box, mixed in, and when I received the box I could hear the rumble. When I opened it, the jars had no packaging or protection, and most had dented lids, which wasn't cool. At first I didn't even notice the dents, but once I started taking them out and moving them in the light it became obvious. Well for my purpose these lids will come with tags/stickers so I expect most of the damage will not be visible and I prefer not to return them as I need them now. If I didn't need them so badly, or wouldn't close the lids, I'd have to send them back. The way they are shipped almost guarantees that the glasses will arrive damaged.
