The description is misleading that this is a natural fresh garland but it is not. It looks natural, but is very similar to artificial materials. I also don't recommend putting it over a fireplace, it will melt! I have a very small fireplace and it was only on for about 20 minutes when I noticed the pine needles were drying out. Several other leaves fell from the garland. I am very disappointed as I paid quite a bit for it. This is very pleasant…. Just note that this is not a natural garland. I can't make a fire without worrying about the fire. The second picture shows melted pine needles, in the first picture they should look like this.
