Having read warnings in other reviews that the locking mechanism on this plug tends to wear out, I was very careful in removing it. But once I've installed this replacement cover on my Dyson DC24 it looks like I'll never take it off without drilling the lock again. I was very careful trying to remove it and used the biggest flathead screwdriver I could to fill in the gap, but with the first slight twist it immediately started popping out. After trying various flat edges without moving, he was completely skinned. It was cheap, of course, but now I'm paying for it.
