I love this knife! I wanted a really good cutting knife and it's great! In fact, you can cut very thin, straight slices of tomato, meat, or whatever. The knife is very well balanced and the handle and blade look amazing! There are several things to avoid. Do not cut into hard surfaces or through bone. Make sure to hand wash and dry immediately to avoid light surface rust. I've never had problems like this, but just a few guidelines will ensure it lasts a lifetime. It comes in a thin wooden box with a thick plastic sheath for the blade. I would definitely keep it with this one. It would be very easy to cut yourself if it was in a drawer.
