First time ever using silicone in baking. It just doesn't feel right. But my son had a very rusty cupcake pan, so I had him make it at home so I didn't have to leave the large kitchen pan in his tiny kitchen. I liked them so much that I took them home. MUCH BETTER than paper or metal cups - you won't lose cupcakes on the sides - they just pop out. They don't need to be lubricated. To my surprise, the bottoms of the muffins looked cooked through. I was worried they would look cooked or soft. In addition, the floor does not burn. I thought the strength of these was on the thin side. I've used them about a dozen times - and in the dishwasher - and they're like new. They just feel thin. But what do I know. Also great for freezing juice or pesto - they float frozen and can then be stored in bags.
