It's made of durable materials (although the build quality isn't great). The electronics inside seem decent (including a safety switch, which opens when the lid is removed which I think is a blockage to prevent it from turning on when the lid is closed as it has a shortwave UV lamp). It produces quite a bit of ozone and doesn't consume a lot of power .deodorizing abilities, but when I do I will add an additive.
