This board is heavy and rubber stops keep it in place when cutting. While it's nice to have a sharpener right on the board, I don't use it often as I already have super sharp knives. So the sharpener takes up space that could have given me more room to cut. This board size is not suitable for me for large vegetables or meat. So I can't chop cabbage or cauliflower on it or chop cabbage. I can do smaller jobs, but when chopping onions, garlic or ginger I have to remember to remove them from the side of the board where there isn't a sharpener or they could fall into an empty slot and get stuck. The rubber pads on the edges also take up little space, as I like to push vegetables or herbs that have already been cut to the side. I would have preferred something etched into the plastic like most boards so it doesn't take up space to cut. Finally, the board is beautiful and durable, but that also makes it heavy. I usually take the board and put the food in the pot, but because it's heavy I have to put the knife in the bowl and then put it in the pan. I'm used to cooking 2-3 dishes at the same time on different stoves and sometimes start chopping herbs when my pan gets hot so I have to be really quick and this adds an extra step to the process. I like the white color and the non-slip etched surface that makes sanding easier. It is dishwasher safe, but I usually hand wash my cutting boards and only occasionally put them in the dishwasher. Overall this is a good cutting board, but not as practical or everyday as I thought it would be.
