I had to look at over 100 teapots on numerous websites before buying this one and my research paid off. I wanted the teapot to: 1. have no plastic parts; 2. had a temperature gauge/setting; 3. looked beautiful on my counter; 4. was easy to use. This teapot has it all and more! It's really attractive (much more so than I thought from the pictures) and has remained so - no stainless steel or shiny finish to get dirty. It works very fast and keeps the temperature because it is thermal. I think it's easy to use - I know people have said it's hard to pour, but I have no idea why they say that. You just press the button above. The water comes out slower than a traditional kettle but I think that's a plus as it can be used in a coffee maker (but not as slow as one of the long curved handle kettles). of the more expensive models I considered, but I think it was worth it. The only downside is that it's difficult to see how much water is in the kettle as the walls are thick and there's no display. I usually cook more than I need, but it's so quick who cares.
