This mount works very well and supports my 15 inch Acer Triton 500 very well. This mount is an upgraded VESA 100 mount (and actually contains a VESA 100 plate) but uses a quick-release thumbscrew to switch plates, so I'm not complaining about the potential added benefit. It is very easy to assemble and very easy to move after assembly. I wouldn't like it in a monitor arm, but for a laptop that's still in use despite being in a desktop setup, it's really nice to be able to swivel it towards and away from me easily. My big issue is that it uses cutouts on the side support tabs to allow access to the connector. However, you can't adjust the position of these cutouts, so some ports (like my laptop's ethernet) are blocked. I had to add some 2mm standoffs to the tray so I could use the Thunderbolt 3 port. Your mileage may vary, but SOME ports will be blocked if you use this, so have some spacers handy. The side prongs hold the laptop tight enough that I could probably remove the standoffs and not move it, but I don't want to risk it slipping and putting pressure on the cables.
