I needed an extra timer for my kitchen and this attractive, elegant stainless steel caught my eye. I thought ok this is a simple non intelligent turn timer no need to read the instructions so I turned it clockwise to 5 minutes, waited and got a barely audible frustrating single chime! Then I read the instructions [LOL]! After that I turned it back on for 5 minutes and got a loud 5 second ringing as promised. The magnet is strong so it stays in place, it fits stainless steel or white appliances, is easy to clean when needed and for a rotary timer it's fairly accurate.
